Who We Are

Designated Charities of Reign X

AIDS Volunteers of Northern Kentucky (AVNK)-AIDS Volunteers of Northern Kentucky was founded in 1990 by a group of civic minded individuals who were concerned about the lack of support in Northern Kentucky for people living with HIV/AIDS, their friends, partners and families.  AIDS Volunteers of Northern Kentucky seek to understand and address the emotional, educational, social, spiritual and physical needs of the people in Northern Kentucky and surrounding communities who are living with HIV/AIDS, and the needs of their families, partners, friends and caregivers.  We strive to mobilize the general community about HIV/AIDS related issues for purposes of education, prevention and advocacy.

Caracole - Caracole takes its name from the French word that describes an encircling shell that provides shelter and refuge even as it grows and expands. This is what we offer the person living with HIV/AIDS: a safe, secure environment that allows them to live and grow in a family-like setting of mutual support and caring.

YWCA Breast Cancer Awareness - The YWCA's Breast and Cervical Health Network links women to necessary services through a referral helpline and community outreach.  The referral helpline staff offers information on how to access low-cost or free screenings and support services and coordinates transportation assistance and support.
