College of Monarch's Meeting Minutes

New Business
· The meet with the New Monarchs and ICPs
§ Investitures
· The checklist will be a fluid document that will change from Reign to Reign, but the basic components to be considered are on the checklist.
· The College agreed on a 1 complimentary drink per guest per set
· Ginger will take care of the script for investitures.
·
o Discuss Coronation Coordinators Leadership Team
§ Bobby noted that Ginger is the only one who can coordinate coronation by herself, knowing everything from A-Z about the event. He suggested we should do more cross training, to have others who have the same knowledge.
§ Feels coordinators should be for 3 years.
§ All coronation materials are all over needs to be brought together in a manual.
§ We need to create a manual and cross train the other monarchs.
§ Work must be done ahead of time.
§ Monarchs need to be in full regalia to be onstage.
o Coronation XX Ball Coordinators will be a team of Brooklyn, Mike Burke, and Kathy.
o Minister of Protocol for the year (Regalia Monitor) will be headed by Greg Barker, and he will be assisted by two others
o Pageant Committee for the year will be headed by Brooklyn and she will identify others to assist her
· 20th Anniversary – Tabled for the next meeting
· Monarch Contest – Mike Burke
o Any one who wants to participate will and they will receive a proclamation or other award to be decided on by the college at the next meeting.
· “Major Fund Raisers” per the bylaws
o Jim presented a mandate from the Board of Directors to the College that dollar figure be assigned to Major Fund Raisers.
o The College debated what defines a major fundraiser
o The College must first determine whether it is community involvement, money, the planning, or how it is to be defined.
· Robbie Howard wants ICP title to be reinstated
o Gypsy says that it is her decision, as she was her ICP, and Robbie must speak with Gypsy individually. Says no Robbie should come to her it’s her decision.
Jim Smith claimed that Sylvia has expressed a desire to be reinstated to the College.
Sylvia
· Poor records there is no proof where the missing money went
· Sylvia was suspended not removed
· There is a meeting supposed to have happened that Jim called for the termination of Sylvia with Gypsy seconding neither say this happened.
· Jim makes motion to Sylvia be reinstated to the college seconded by Gypsy
o All minutes where called for last year and none that stated Sylvia was removed.
o Supposed minutes that reflect this happened but not all board members have it.
o Christina will look for them and contact Sylvia regarding reinstatement procedure
Bobby suggest that Mike be suspended for 30 days for threatening Brookyln on the day of the Ball. It was discussed and withdrawn.
Old Business
“Dynasty or Dynastic Names” was mentioned. Christina noted that per the Protocol Manual under Miscellaneous appears the following: Dynastic Names. Dynastic names have appeared on the Court circuit from time to time; however, it is the view of the I.S.Q.C.C.B.E. that these items serve no useful purpose and have no place in protocol. They are not recognized in Cincinnati – ever. Period, the end. Until such time that the Protocol Manual is changed they will not be used.
