7:00 Call to order

Purpose read by Greg Barker

President: 

v  Congratulations to Scott and Tamika on their campaigns for Monarchs

v  Town Meeting Results: Issue with GLBT Center and Pride resolved. Money will be used to pay for the cost of the Pride 2009 Festival.

v  Nomination Reminders for upcoming elections: Positions available: President, Vice-President, Secretary and Member at Large. Nominations will be taken at the September Board Meeting and Voting will take place in October.

Vice-President:

v  Articles need to be to me by 8/28/2009

v  Greg Barker brought up that 3 members were not receiving their newsletters. Names given to Bob Gilbert to make sure they were on label roster.

Secretary:

Treasurer Report:

v  Reimbursement to Jim Smith for Syndicate Comedy Show raffle item that he never received.

v  One more credit card issue. Will wait till next board meeting to resolve, if not it will be tabled for good.

Membership:

v  286 members

v  Several memberships were turned in this evening.

College of Monarchs:

v  Voting on 8/30/2009 Rosie’s Tavern 4:00-8:00

v  College Meeting at 3:00 8/28/2009 3:00pm

v  Storage issues for all records- per bylaw change the College of Monarchs is responsible for housing all records. Current issue is money and where it will come from.

v  The College of Monarchs has asked that the board be at the college of monarchs meeting on 8/28/2009 to discuss options.

v  Regalia should be brought to a central location after coronation to make sure it gets back to its primary location.

Monarchs:

v  Rehearsal will be at Shooters on Thursday at 7:00 pm.

v  September 2 we will have rehearsal at The Syndicate at 7:00pm

v  Bingo will be September 18 at Below Zero.

Old Business:

v  T-Shirt Committee- have about 30 left and will sell at hospitality. Next design will be long sleeve.

v  Pageant Committee: tabled till next reign steps up.
