October 15, 2007 Board of Directors/General Membership Meeting Minutes I.S.Q.C.C.B.E.
In attendance: Viagra Falls, Perry Key, Randy Bridges, Al Rizzoti, Poison Ivy, Mike Connley, Pricilla Deville, Bobby Kettenacker, Robert Vandenberg, Brooklyn Steele-Tate, Gypsy Russell, Terrell Lackey, Wes Duncan, Bobbie Delicious, Kelly, Karen Davis, Jon Wagner, Jim Smith, Gene Sell, Maxie Malone, Mike Burke, Bob Jones Tamika, Christina Blake, Derek Hood, Tom Wherry, Greg Barker, Jeff Stemmer, Rachel Rogers, Kathy King, Ginger Snap, Jay Rickles, and Bob Gilbert. This months meeting was a special election meeting for open board positions. Voting was started at 6:00 p.m. and the general meeting was called to order at 6:25 p.m. by President Jon Wagner who read our organization’s purpose. The minutes of the previous meeting were passed out by Maxie Malone and a motion was submitted for their approval. Said minutes were amended to change the sentence where Miss Sylvia would meet with Tom Wherry and Jim Smith to Miss Sylvia would meet with the entire College of Monarchs.
1st Brooklyn 2nd Ginger Snap All approve. Vice-President: Friday October 19, 2007 will be the cut off date for anything to be included in this month’s newsletter. Newsletter stuffing will be held at Simons at 7:00 on the 24th. Treasurer: The current Treasurer’s Report was distributed to the board and general membership by Mike C. and key points were discussed. Mike discussed the point that we have not received the Pitney Bowes matching grant. The check had been mailed but not received by the Court. We will have to wait for 90 days and if not received the check would be reissued by Pitney Bowes. A motion was submitted for the approval of the treasurer’s report. 1st Brooklyn S. 2nd Poison Ivy All approve. Membership: Mike Connley acting as Membership Chair. We currently have 209 members and we will still do the expiration notices included in the monthly newsletter. Mike made a reminder notice that a special meeting will be held on November 4th at 1:00 P.M. to discuss the severance of membership of Miss Sylvia. Monarchs: Mike and Poison recounted their trip to Toronto last weekend for their Coronation and announced that Brooklyn had been awarded the Emperor to Past Empress Award. Brooklyn also was inducted into Niki’s Society of Gems. Show and events for the remainder of October and November were discussed. Old Business: Meeting Location: This will be the last meeting at On Broadway. Next months meeting will be at the Kenton County Public Library in the upstairs meeting room. Meeting time to remain the same. T-shirt Auction: One more celebrity has come on board and we have no artist submissions at this point. New Business: A motion was submitted to direct the funds from the Show on November 30th to the Cincinnati Men’s Chorus. 1st Jon Wagner, 2nd Mike Burke, All approve with Poison abstaining. A motion was submitted to direct the funds from the show on November 24th to the Movable Feast in Lexington. 1st Brooklyn, 2nd Mike B., all approve with Poison abstaining. Maxie Malone submitted a motion for funds to purchase paper and toner for the monthly newsletter. Jim Smith offered to pay for the toner and the motion was amended to only include the cost of paper. 1st Maxie Malone, 2nd Mike Connley, All approve. The DOBE for the month will go to Priscilla DeVille. At this time the meeting was put on hold while the ballots for the open board positions were counted and the election results were announced. Kathy King won the elections for Board President and Greg Barker won the election as Board Membership Chair. A motion was submitted to adjourn the meeting @ 8:25, 1st Ginger Snap, 2nd Brooklyn, All approve. Subsequent to the above board meeting an email motion was submitted to the board by Mike Burke.
