Board of Directors/General Membership Meeting Minutes

I.S.Q.C.C.B.E.

 

In attendance:  Mike Burke, Gary McDaniel, Tom Wherry, Poison Ivy, Gypsy Russell, Dan Ratliff, Michael Connley, Brooklyn Steel Tate, Jon Wagner, Simone Gregory, Tamara Edwards, Jim Smith, and Maxie Malone.

 

The meeting was called to order @7:05 P.M. by President Jon Wagner who read our organizations purpose.  The minutes of the previous meeting were passed out to the board and general membership and a motion was submitted for their approval.

President:

 

Jon passed out two thank you letters from AVOC which were received in November.

 

Vice-President:

 

Newsletter stuffing will be on Saturday March 24th at 5:00 P.M. in this room.  We will continue with the crossword puzzle and recipe pages for next month’s newsletter.  Simone is still looking for people to be on a newsletter committee.  If anyone is interested please contact Simone.

Treasurer:

 

Mike C. passed out the treasurer’s report to the board and general membership.  A motion for approval was submitted.

Mike informed the board the he has received the income tax forms for 2006 and that they must be completed by Mar 25, 2007.  Jim Smith suggested that we use Turbo Tax Professional to compete this year’s tax return.

 

Membership:

 

Tamara informed us that our current membership list consists of 210 members.  Tamara also stated that we all owe Mike Connley a great big thank you the grant from Duke Energy.

 

Monarchs:

 

Show schedules for April 2007 were passed out.

 

College:

 

Jim Smith Acting as College rep. informed the board that the next college meeting will be on March 25th at Rosies to discuss to items: 1) Miss Sylvia, and 2) to pick a new college rep as Ginger Snap has resigned her current position.

 

Old Business:

 

Jon W. informed us that the Money Handling Guidelines meeting will be held on March 22, 2007.

 

Queen City Listings – We will not have a listing as the deadline for submittal has passed.

 

Reign 16 CD:  Mike C. will get a 6 month cd at the best rate he can.  To much time has passed and no alternatives to the cd have been presented.

 

Court Credit Card – tabled until next month.

 

Mr. QCL – Addendum to rules and regulation for Mr. QCL 2007 were passed out.  After discussion the following changes were submitted: 1) that the section starting with “Mr. QCL shall raise funds …”, and ending with “meet and greet.” shall be deleted. And 2) a section shall be added to say “Entry fee money will offset the amount the winner must raise.”  With the changes a motion was submitted for the addendum’s approval.

T-Shirt Auction – Jim Smith informed the board that he had been in contact with Vicki Brooks from AVOC and that they had no plans to use the T-Shirt action and that it was ours to pursue.  After discussion the motion to approve the budget for the T-Shirt action was resubmitted and said motion passed with the notation that the $1000.00 from Reign 16 would be covered by the show on April 14 from Barry F. in Oxford.

New Business:

 

Change of Location for Board/General Membership meeting – tabled until next meeting to explore alternatives.

 

The 2007 Annual Bylaw Meeting will be Tuesday May 8th at the Kenton County Public Library.  All Bylaw changes must be submitted in writing or by E-mail and received by Jon Wagner by midnight April 8, 2007.

 

Simone submitted a motion to increase the page count of the newsletter with her covering the increased cost of paper.  The motion passed. 1st Brooklyn, 2nd Simone, all approve

 

 

The DOBE for the month goes to Gene Sell.

 

A motion to adjourn the meeting was submitted at 8:50 P.M.
