Board of Directors/General Membership Meeting Minutes

In Attendance:  Dixie Crystals, Kathy King, Brooklyn Steele-Tate, Michael Connley, Keith Roberts, Ed Blevins, Truly Scrumptious, Roberta Bigg, Krystal Kurler, James Hughes, Viagra Falls, Dennis DeClaire, Scott Steger, Ginger Snap, Bob Gilbert, Jay Rickels

Meeting called to order at 7:05 by Kathy King, President Board of Directors
Purpose was read by Brooklyn Steele-Tate, Vice President Board of Directors

President:  No Business

Vice President:  Newsletter items due by Feb 23, 2009

Treasurer:  Treasurer’s Report submitted and reviewed.  Motion to accept:

Secretary:  Minutes from last meeting submitted:  Motion to Accept:

Membership:  Bob Gilbert stated that we have 274 members.

College of Monarchs:  Ginger informed everyone that all of Truly Scrumptious’ titles have been restored.  
The email list is in final stages of compilation.  Mike Connely will be setting up a  link to the College Meeting  Minutes.  Nothing new is completed on the revision of the Protocol Manual.

Emperor/Empress:  Brooklyn read the calendar of events for the next month.   Dixie requested approval from the BOD to have the show on March 20th benefit GLSEN.

Old Business:  Dennis, Jeff, and Rachel are proceeding on track with t-shirts
	Ginger is following up on who has past records.
	No Town Hall Meeting is needed at this time.
	No CD from Robbie Howard - the issue is being dropped.
	Issue of 35% expenses revisited. Keith Roberts submits breakdown of chart explaining the forecast 
	of this reigns fundraising  and expenditures.
	

	Truly requests to be appointed as ICS Parliament Representative in the interim until elections can 
	be held.  Since this position needs to be filled immediately, the motion is put forth:

	2nd Dixie Crystals
	All Approve with Bob Gilbert abstaining

New Business:  

	Poker Bowl was cancelled.  Funny Bone event will be in May.
Viagra Falls petitions the Board for all title holders to be able to keep their tips at their step down.  After discussion by members, it is decided that the title holders are barely meeting their obligations and doing just the bare minimum for the organization, therefore the motion is put forth that no title holders are to keep their step down tips any longer.  The exception being the current reigning Miss Queen City.

Dixie Crystals requests that before the time gets here, that the rules for EOY be modified to state that if someone backs out of the competition that the funds  they have raised may not be contributed to another contestant by the contestant withdrawing.  The issue is tabled until Priscilla is present next month..

General Membership:

	Cookoff next month on March 15th consisting of  soups, salads, potato dishes, vegetable dishes, 
	and desserts.
