August 18, 2008 Board of Directors/General Membership Meeting Minutes I.S.Q.C.C.B.E. In Attendance: Dixie Crystals, Maxie Malone, Mike Burke, Viagra Falls, Michael Connley, Poison Ivy, Christina Blake, Bob Gilbert, Tamika, Priscilla DeVille, Scott Helton, Dave Carter, Wade Carter, Michael Glassmeyer, Jim Smith, Dennis James, Sam Clemons, Karen Davis, Michael Cotrell, Kathy King, Jay Rickles. The meeting was called to order at 7:15 by Kathy King, President. HIM Christina Blake read the Purpose.
Nominations were re-opened for the position of Secretary. Dixe Crystals elected new Secretary by default.
PRESIDENT: Kathy announced that at the Special Session the issues regarding Monarchial Campaigning had been discussed and resolved. No disciplinary actions were needed or taken.
Vice-President: The budget for Coronation XVIII will be finalized by August 19, 2008.
Monarchs: Mike Burke announced that there should be an approximate gain on the programs of +$1100. Deadline for ads will be August 22, 2008.
Pins are in. EOY crown is ordered.
Opening number rehearsal will be at 7:30 August 21 at Shooters.
The Monarch Show is scheduled for August 29, 2008 at Old Street.
Secretary: Dixie will be sending the minutes to Mike Connley for posting on the website.

Treasurer: Roberta Bigg’s check was deducted from the “Membership” fund and the report was ammended. Motion to accept new Treasurers Report 1st Mike Burke 2nd Bob Gilbert All approved
New report submitted to Board, motion to approve: 1st Mike Connley 2nd Brooklyn Steele-Tate All approved
The Pitney-Bowes matching fund letter was sent certified mail.
Sam Clemons brought up the issue that the donation amounts from reign to reign do not total correctly on the website. Mike Connley will be removing the amounts in question from the website.
Jim Smith makes request to postpone approval of Treasurer Reports for one month until everyone has had a chance to review them thoroughly . Motion is denied.
Membership: Bob announced that we have 237 members.
All new members have been updated.
The issue of several members still not receiving the monthly newsletter or emailed newsletters. Dixie and Poison will be tending a table at elections for members to verify and correct email and mailing addresses.
Letters have all been sent for expiring or expired memberships.
The membership forms have been updated.
College of Monarchs:
The issue regarding Tiara Enterprises and checks issued for goods not received was brought up. It was agreed that we would be no longer doing any business with Tiara and that a letter was to be sent requesting the merchandise or a refund. The merchandise we are out are 2 crowns and a medallion. They will be given 5 business days to respond or legal avenues will be pursued. A copy of this letter will be sent to the ICS for reference.
Minutes from the last College meeting will be submitted at the next Board of Director’s meeting.
Old Business:
Mike Connley will be checking into the Wireless Credit Card System
The Monarchial Candidates will be doing the WAIF radio show at 3:00. Maxie sending a representative due to work conflict.
Kathy King will be contacting the committee set up to separate the by-laws and standard operating procedures.
The Guiness Book of World records people are in the final stages of approving our record.
New Business:
A rememberance page is being compiled by the ICS. Dixie will be sending out an email to the membership for anyone who has someone they wish remembered to email the information to Jim Smith by August 31.
Kathy informs everyone that she sent 3 emails to the woman who was shorted change from Jello shots with no response. Issue is closed.
Mike Burke requests permission to auction off an extra command for Coronation. Jim Smith volunteers to contact the College of Monarchs for approval. General Membership Business:
