August 21, 2006 Board of
Directors/General Membership Meeting Minutes I.S.Q.C.C.B.E. In attendance:
Karen Davis, Maxie Malone, Kathy King, Derek Hood, Mike
Burke, Simone Gregory, Bob Kettenacker, C. Rick Bishop, Mike Connley, Gary
McDaniel, Brian Schellmer, Meeting was called to order at 7:14 p.m. Minutes from July 17th meeting were approved with
the following corrections: 1) Karen King was changed to Karen Davis under
section for Interviews for Monarchial Candidates, and 2) Mike Glassmeyer
was added to members in attendance on July 17, 2003. Due to the resignation from the board of Brooklyn Steele-Tate
and Mike Burke the positions of Secretary and Vice President are now open.
Per our by laws the floor was opened up to the board for
nominations to fill the current open terms.
Tom Wherry nominated Maxie Malone for the position of secretary and
this nomination was accepted by Ms. Malone.
No other nominations were given and Ms. Malone was approved and
assumed the position of secretary. Simone
Gregory was nominated by Tom Wherry for the position of vice president and
accepted the nomination. Again
no other nominations were given and Ms. Gregory was approved and assumed
the position of vice president. College and Coronation: A question was asked of Miss Sylvia how the budget on
Coronation was coming and Miss Sylvia assured the board that coronation
would come in under budget. Miss Sylvia asked if the decade pins has been ordered and was
assured by Ginger that the pins had been ordered and would arrive in time
for Coronation. Ginger informed Miss Sylvia that she must make arrangements
for a podium and spotlight for Coronation. DOBE’s will be given out at the In Town Show. The Decade Empress and Emperor will hand out their decade
pins at Coronation. Voting will be this Sunday, August 27th at
Rosie’s and all workers and candidates must be there no later than 3:30
p.m. -
no
campaigning will be allowed outside of Rosie’s but outside is ok. -
Cash
advance for ticket sales and membership sales will be provided by
treasurer. -
Derek will
be selling coronation tickets at voting. Membership - Mike
Glassmeyer: 102 members expiring in August with our current membership
count at 72. Mike inquired about our lock box for ballots and was informed
by Ginger and Tom that it was in the possession on Scott Knox. Treasurer – Jon
Wagoner. EOY money had not been counted yet, but will be counted this
evening after meeting. 1st Ginger 2nd Simone All approve New Business: Ginger and Tom informed us that the Victory Show this year
will be at the Millennium on Sunday, September 17, 2006.
Doors will open at 6:30 with finger food being served.
The show will start at 7:30 and anyone that wants to perform is
more than welcome. Kathy King asked if any of us had heard about a new IRS
regulation concerning non-profit organizations and if this would effect
us. After discussions it was
determined that it would not impact our organization to any great extent. Old Business: We are still waiting on Scott Knox to answer our request to
act as agent for the corporation since the death of Steve Nelson. Mike Burke informed the board that our post office box had
expired and he had to divert money from postage to pay for the box.
Mike will check out and advise at next meeting. Cutoff date for ads in Coronation Program will be Monday. General Membership New

Business: Bobby
K. suggested that gift bags for Coronation could be given out by the hotel
when guests checked in. After
discussion, it was decided that the bags would be given out at
hospitality. DOBE
for this month will be Dan Ward for all his help keeping the softball and
volleyball teams together. Adjourn 1st
